As we get into the season of HARVEST, something is blaring at me more than usual. Holding on and making things so damn complicated! I keep getting these subtle reminders that I am unintentionally holding on to things that are clearly not working for me. I know well in my spirit what is on the other side if I let it all go! I don't know about you, but just knowing that "THE LIFE" is waiting for me on the other side doesn't make it easier. If anything, it makes things more serious and somewhat makes me want to rush the process. But that's just an excuse, and we are LETTING GO of excuses because they don't work for us!
This reminds me that a part of this journey is trusting the process and loving the process while we are in it. Care for the crop day by day and the crop will grow and feed the family and other families. Before it gets there though, the magic has to happen. And again, I am reminded that the magic isn't the result, the magic is in the caring of the seed. It's the every piece of the process. At times, it's easy to get caught up in the result that we forget the worth thats in watering the path we are currently on. I mean sure, enjoying the fruits of our labor will bring a great dopamine rush, but the joy is even stronger when you can find the love for the process. Once the habit is created, the rest will follow.
All of this is easier said than done but worth the saying. Right now, I feel like I am up to my eye lids in things I need to do in order to let go of what isn't working for me! Man! The gag is, it's literally only a few things I have to let go of in order to fully FEAST this HARVEST! And you know what? I'm done dragging through the mud, feeling sorry for myself, not liking who I am in the moment, and making excuses as to why I can't live an organic fruitful life. Instead of complaining about my current environment and adapting old habits to live in it, I am going to adapt new habits to combat the environment.
So here is to fasting, organic food and people, hiking and walking on trails, drinking more tea and water, creating art, being the light, meditating, podcasting, and last but not least, letting go to hold on to the FEAST that this HARVEST will bring! The Day is Won and so is the harvest! Peace, Love and Hair Grease!
